I don’t have time
Nope.
You have the time. The real question is do you WANT to have the time. If something is a priority you will find the time. Whether it is to do something or go somewhere if you want it, you’ll make it happen.
So next time you tell someone you just don’t have the time; think about everything else you have made a priority over that (did you spend hours: watching tv? going shopping? sleeping in?). Chances are the person you are giving the excuse to is well aware of how you have spent (or wasted) your valuable time.
Recent sightings
Sometimes the things you encounter in your life really make you wonder. I don’t know what exactly I have learned from these sightings, but it has definitely made me take a look at what society has become and what is now deemed ‘acceptable’ through the eyes of society and the legal system. So, a woman can ‘legally’ smoke cigarettes while she is pregnant, but people can’t help up an old lady after she falls because if theyre on the job ‘legally’ they’re not allowed to? what!?!?….
No guarantees.
Life can end very unexpectedly. It took the very recent death of a friend that I have been to school with since first grade to wake me to this fact. It’s real. Up until now I almost felt like, well it couldn’t happen to me, I’m only in college. But no, there is no guarantee, no age we are promised we will live until. And sometimes we have to understand that there this timing is part of a greater plan that we will never be able to understand.
The loss of a life so young also makes you re-evaluate you life and what you are spending your time on. Everything that you do, you are choosing to do that and not something. So, don’t just sit back and watch your life pass you by. Be proactive and choose to live every day of your life to the fullest potential.
In the dark.
Life gets so much more complicated when you are left in the dark; when you don’t get to see the whole picture. There are so many times that our opinions or choices we make would be altered if we could only see all the facts. Whenever life’s tough circumstances face us, we need to be sure that we are being presented with the whole truth so that we can make a correct assessment of the situation and then move on. Because down the road if you realize that you made a decision when you were in the dark about something, it will lead to regret and questioning of your previous decision that may have ultimately been life-changing.
So, in your daily life when dealing with people you care about, do them a favor; tell them the whole story and then you can feel better knowing they were able to make an accurate decision unique to them.
A very fine line.
I have learned through my many years that there is a very fine line between being funny and being immature.
Although sometimes immature can be very funny; immature is not the kind of person to invest all your time and energy in. If you are smart enough to figure out that someone is too immature for you, you are smart enough to know that you deserve someone better.
Stick to your word.
The most irritating times in life for me usually start through a broken promise and end in a let down. When you say you are going to do something, do it. no matter what.
I think that sticking to your word is extrememly underappreciated these days. So when you say something, mean it. Do not make empty half hearted statements that you have no intention of fulfilling. If you tell someone you will do something or be there for them at a given time, follow through. Do not just leave them waiting or feeling ignored wondering if you remembered the promise you made to them.
Honor your word and no one gets hurt.
Watch what you say.
No matter who you’re talking about, whether its a roommate, someone you like, or someone you barely know, whatever you say about them will probably get back to them.
So, be careful of what you say because you just never know whose ears it will end up reaching or the impact it then will make.
Be Happy NOW!
Be happy now. If you are waiting for things to get better, chances are you are going to be waiting a very long time. Appreciate your life and everything in it now. Things may not be perfect, but then again, they could be a whole lot worse. So put a smile on your face and thank God for another day!!
Tonight
Tonight I learned that if a boy wants you in their life they will make you a priority. If they don’t, don’t wait around for them; it just makes you look dumb.
If a guy is treating you like he doesn’t give a shit, he genuinely doesn’t give a shit. No exceptions.
